BRAZILIAN: Generalizations


Joanna: One thing that I found here, when I would talk to people, is that they wouldn't have an idea of how Brazil is industrialized. They would think of it as being a third-world country or undeveloped. They would see it as a poor country with the Amazon forest, and nice beaches, and because the country is not rich they think that there is... Eduardo: It's pretty unimportant. Joanna: No, it's not economically developed, it's not... well, maybe it doesn't function well but we do have, uhm... nuclear... Eduardo: Oh, yeah, we have nuclear plants, we export cars, and even to... Joanna: We have Volkswagens, Fiats, Ford, all those industries there...
